- Salt air on coastal pads. HeatPro coils within a mile of the water corrode and load up with salt film years earlier than inland units. Rinsing the coil is genuine preventive maintenance here, not a nicety.
- Scale from hard fill water. The same aquifer hardness that scales your tile scales the inside of a gas exchanger. This is what turns an occasional HS into a chronic one.
