What to Know Before You Buy

  • The manufacturer terms listed for this model cover parts only. Labor isn't covered, so the installer's workmanship terms matter.
  • A heat pump heats steadily rather than fast. A gas heater is the quick heat-up option.
  • App control needs a compatible automation system; the heater has no Wi-Fi of its own.

Sizing comes first. The right heater is set by your pool's surface area and the temperature rise you want, and by the flow your pump and plumbing deliver. Start with the heater size calculator; we confirm it on site before quoting.

The Titanium Heat Exchanger

Titanium doesn't corrode in pool water, so it's the standard on quality heat pumps and the reason a heat pump can sit on a salt pool for years without exchanger trouble. It costs more, which is why it's rare on gas heaters, and the ETi 400 is the exception here.

See every material side by side on the comparison page, or read the Jandy heater error messages guide for what the display is telling you.
